Compostable (TUV Austria)
Biodegradable shopping bags are one of the most environmentally friendly alternatives. They are designed to break down more easily in the environment, thus reducing negative impacts on wildlife and ecosystems.
These bags are suitable for food contact

Materials
These bags are made from biodegradable materials, such as corn starch, potato starch, PLA (polylactic acid) and other plant polymers. Unlike traditional plastic bags, which can take hundreds of years to decompose, biodegradable bags decompose in a much shorter period of time, usually under composting conditions.
However, it is important to note that biodegradable bags still need to be disposed of correctly in order to break down effectively. If left in the environment without proper management, they can take a long time to decompose, just like conventional plastic.
Design
Depending on how you need these bags, i.e. in roll or block format, there are different options: clear, crystalline or green

The different formats of bag can be customised with a maximum of three inks on one or both sides.
Must be stored in the original packaging, protected from sunlight, at room temperature (between 15-22 °C), relative humidity below 50% and away from damp soil. In other words, store it in dry conditions, in a room not exposed to frost. For room temperatures over 30 °C, store in an air-conditioned room.
This material should be consumed within 12 months of delivery, as after this period optimal conditions cannot be guaranteed.
Biodegradable indicates that a substance can degrade or decompose by reintegrating into the soil under natural environmental conditions.
Compostable means that a biodegradable substance degrades in a short period of time under composting plant conditions into compost, carbon dioxide and water, similar to other organic waste. All compostable substances are biodegradable, but not all biodegradable substances are compostable.
Due to their strength and flexibility, they are most commonly used as shopping bags in supermarkets.
The quantity is different depending on the bag.
Transparent blocks measuring 40/26 x 50 and 30/20×40 come in 10 covers, i.e. 2000 bags per box. However, the 50/29×60 size comes in 5 covers of 200 bags each.
In terms of rolls, the crystalline bag includes 2400 compostable bags per box, i.e. 15 covers.
Yes, the material they are made of means that they should preferably be used within 12 months of delivery.
