There’s a lot of science in Voltea

Voltea decontaminates through photocatalysis. This function is made possible by the innovative technological development of a decontaminating coating for paper material. Applied to the bags, it activates under UV sunlight and neutralises pollutant NOx gasses (nitrogen oxides).

Several years of intensive work led to obtaining the AIF certification. From the very beginning, the project had the collaboration of NAITEC (Navarre Automotive and Mechatronics Technology Center) and financial support from the Government of Navarre.

Voltea bags decontaminate 13.5% more than required by ISO 22197-1 STANDARD

Its effectiveness has been recognised and certified by the Iberian Photocatalysis Association, whose scientific-technical committee supervised the tests carried out.

The results obtained have led to the awarding of the AIF seal (Iberian Photocatalysis Association). Voltea is now a protected brand and invention (OEPM – No. U2020313147 / MUE18228279 / UK00918228279)
