Vacuum shrink bag

Part of the vacuum bag range, shrink bags can shrink (retract) when heat is applied during the sealing process, making them ideal for adapting to the packaged product regardless of its shape. These bags are typically used in the food industry and also in industrial applications.

The perfect solution for preserving and presenting fresh food.
Made of a heat-treated film. High quality virgin polymers are blended into the film composition.

The time and temperature for heat treatment should be as follows: water, steam 90 – 95°C – max. 15 seconds.

This treatment, together with its composition, guarantees this barrier and preserves the product in its best condition.

Materials

Shrink vacuum bags are made of durable materials that offer puncture and tear resistance, helping to protect the packaged product during handling and transportation.

The vacuum shrink bag has a bottom seam, consisting of a co-extruded polyamide, polyolefin, polyethylene and EVOH film.

Design

Many shrink bags are transparent to see the packaged product easily. This is useful for product presentation on retail shelves or for visual inspection of the packaged product.

These vacuum bags are not suitable for microwave heating, pasteurisation or sterilisation processes. Technical instructions for heat treatment must also be followed.

For transport and storage, they should be kept at room temperature (5-25°C) and under normal environmental conditions, i.e. dry and out of direct sunlight.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

One of the few El Carmen Packaging Solutions with no customisation options; they are blank bags. This is because these bags are designed so that the product can be seen from all angles, there is no side on which the bag can be customised as all parts are transparent.

However, this bag can be purchased in non-standard sizes. In this case, your sales representative will discuss whether these options are possible with you.

Yes, please note the following recommendations:

PA/PE 70: we recommend using the product within 48 months of delivery.

PA/PE 40: in this case, we recommend using the bag within 24 months of delivery at the latest.
